Non-responsive web application caused high abandonment
OSH situation was that their web app was only displayed for desktop viewing and not responsive for other devices. Testing OSH original dashboard with one-on-one potential users showed pain-points with navigating throughout the application causing potential leads and paying customers to abandon the application if not suited for their devices.

Creating a flowchart helped me move fast
Creating a flowchart depicts how the organization of the application would be laid out, and creates a guide for how users will interact with the pages and features of the application. Creating this flowchart enabled me to explore how the Information Architecture should be laid out in order to come up with the best flow of the application for users to finish their task-at-hand more efficiently.

Laying the Foundations
Based on the defined user scenarios, I proceeded to create multiple iterations of the application by creating wireframes — blueprints for the app to define the priority of information, how it will be displayed, and how different personas will do their respective tasks.
By doing this I was able to test multiple ways of organizing the interactions and the content of the application so that the functionality works well to avoid problems down the road before I proceeded in creating the visual elements of the application.

Were we landed
After testing users interactions of the wireframes I was able to then apply final visual elements to the application based on a new brand guideline to increase users desired actions and a stunning application.

How might we create a way for horse and business owners to manage their equine data?
Managing equine data for a horse can be cumbersome, whether your a business owner or personal horse owner. Keeping track and updating records of your horse is a considerable amount of work to be doing when you could be spending more time working on your horse's needs.
One Source Horse (OSH) mission is to provide a way for horse users to capture, manage, and share their equine data with others in an efficient way in order to spend more time doing things that really matter with their horses.

Defining the Problem
OSH current situation was that their web app was outdated, which only displayed for desktop viewing and not responsive for other devices. OSH goal was to redesign the app for better usability for all users — such as personal and business owners and how they interact and conduct their horses data on a daily.

I came up with different personas that best describe the demographics of who, when, where, and how, these users would document the data. This helped me discover a few roadblocks with OSH current web app and how current questions in OSH form is not applicable for every user. For example, there may be different questions for horse owners compared to professional services. These personas allowed me to constantly be reminded of the people that we are designing the product for and their needs.
